The Kawartha region is a picturesque area which truly reflects the name it bears: “Kawartha” an Ojibwa word meaning “shining waters”.  The area comprises over 250 lakes, waterways and rivers, many linked by the scenic Trent-Severn Waterway, all together offering a vast array of recreational choices.  We know you’ll love the Kawartha Lakes.
